RATES AND SERVICES
Psychological Services: As a therapist, I provide services to children and adolescents.
Therapeutic Techniques: My training has been in a broad range of approaches including attachment, life-span developmental, cognitive-behavioral, EMDR, DBT, creative expressive arts, and play therapy. My approach to clients is to individualize treatment programs in order to accommodate optimally the needs of the individuals involved.
Concerns I address: When working with children and youth, concerns commonly presented include behavioral and emotional challenges, attention deficits, self-esteem, anxiety, and adjustment in reaction to loss and life changes such as moving.
Intake and Initial Sessions: My normal practice is for the first couple of sessions to have both an evaluative and treatment focus. During this time, I will be learning information about you and/or your child, in collaboration with you, I will be outlining a treatment plan.
Fees and Payment: My current fee for the initial diagnostic evaluation is $220.00. This includes time spent in review of past records, and phone call contacts with individuals such as teachers and physicians. My fee for therapy is $160/ 60 min. session ($120.00 for 45-minute appointments.) I offer a sliding scale. In addition to scheduled appointments, it is my practice to charge this amount on a pro-rated basis for other professional services that you may require such as telephone conversations, which last longer than 15 minutes. Payment is due at the time that services are provided unless special circumstances require an alternate payment schedule. In the case of minor children, the parent who brings in the child for treatment is responsible for payment. Accounts must be paid in full within 30 days. In circumstances of unusual financial hardship, I may be willing to negotiate an installment plan or contract. A monthly finance charge of 1.0% is charged to unpaid balances after 30 days to cover the cost of bookkeeping until the balance is zero. A zero balance begins another 30-day cycle. In unusual circumstances, you may become involved in court actions such as litigation, which may require my participation. You will be expected to pay for the professional time required even if I am compelled to testify by another party. Due to the complexity involved and difficulty of legal involvement, I charge $1500.00 an hour for preparation and attendance at legal proceedings.
Insurance: I am contracted with Aetna, Cigna, Premera, Regence BlueCross BlueShield, and United Healthcare. I will submit claims to insurance companies for which I am in-network. Your copay is expected at the time of the visit. After your insurance has paid their portion. I will submit a statement to you with your cost according to the insurance plan. Every insurance company reimburses differently. Please check your coverage before beginning sessions. If I am out of network, my full fee is due at the time of your session. I will give you a superbill receipt so that you can submit the claim to your insurance company for reimbursement.
